Cindy Hergott-Pellerin is a Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based visual artist whose passion for art has been nurtured since childhood through encouragement at home and throughout her early education. She studied Art and Design at Red Deer College, developing skills in drawing, painting, visual fundamentals, ceramics, and sculpture. She went on to earn a B.F.A. from the University of Saskatchewan in 1985, studying under prominent Saskatchewan painters Robert Christie and Otto Rogers. Her education continues to inform her painting practice, which draws on Abstract Expressionism, Color Field painting, and Formalism, exploring the expressive potential of colour, the emotional impact of gesture, and the structural relationships between compositional elements.

Hergott-Pellerin works in two distinct studio environments. Her home studio offers a quiet connection to flora and the expansive prairie sky, providing space for contemplation and reflection. In contrast, The Studio on 20th is a shared creative environment energized by the surrounding streets, and the exchange of ideas among artists. Together, these contrasting spaces enrich her practice and offer different conditions for creative exploration.

In 2026, Hergott-Pellerin began representation with The Gallery/Art Placement in Saskatoon, bringing her artistic journey full circle. As a student, she worked in Art Placement’s framing department. Returning decades later as a represented artist marks a meaningful milestone in her ongoing commitment to painting.
